VIDEOS (When I rain, I pour!)

Self explanatory...Kaleb's Camera Corner, cont.

Kaleb videos the hot air balloons. Sorry, I don't know how to flip the video.

PIONEER DAY PARTY

At my house, the funnest summer activity is the Cedar Hills Pioneer Day Celebration. Because the back of our house faces the elementary school and city park, all the fun really is in our back yard! It begins with the hot air balloon lift off.
That is right over our bushes! Kaleb got a video of them just skimming our roof top. It was impressive! They are always low right over our house as they have just taken off. The kids love it! (And so do I!)
Then there is a parade on the street just behind our house. I am not sure if Shaun likes the sirens!

Kaleb and his crew are just too cool for this town!
Kaleb got a picture with a BYU football player, Harvey Unga. (spelling) Kyle had him sign his shirt and Kaleb had him sign a $20. I guess he'll have to keep that $20 now!
The kids picked up an exotic drink at one of the food booths at the carnival. Delicious!
Everyone scrambles for a sip!
Kyle and best chum Brock buy cool glasses at a sunglasses booth. They are set now!

Kaleb got some great shades, too.

Shaun and Sasha come home after the carnival and await the 45+ guests coming for BBQ and fireworks in our backyard. Because the city shoots them off one block away, we have a "personal" fireworks show from our own yard. It is FANTASTIC. If you want to plan a trip to Utah next year, come and stay at our house that weekend. You won't be sorry. (I hate that I didn't get a picture of Sasha on the rock wall at the carnival. I did get a video of her kicking butt over the other boys climbing at the same time. She was a monster!) . Maybe I'll post the video next.
Although we had a crowd on Saturday for fireworks, they were only treated to a BBQ and good company because the fireworks got rained out. (YES, I had to invite 45 adults and children into the house to keep from getting soaked. It was a mad house, but totally fun! Eventually it stopped and we went back out, but it was still too windy for the fireworks.) They shot the fireworks off the following Monday. We didn't get as big a crowd that night, but it was still AWESOME!
Fireworks! This picture makes them look a ways off, but actually, they are huge and directly above our heads and they also play music to them which really helps to make it fun. It was a great weekend!

Here We Go.....

This is where Ihave spent many afternoons this summer instead of blogging. I have to admit, I am tanner this year than I have been in years!

KALEB'S CAMERA CORNER!

Since my friend Janine dared put a picture of her toenails on her blog, I thought I'd add a picture that Kaleb took of his toenail after scout camp hiking. Nice, huh! (I hope you've already eaten your lunch!)
Window seat, obviously!

Kaleb's dad giving the announcements prior to flight. Vaughn LOVES that part! (Ha, Ha)

One one of our trips, Kaleb sat across from Lance Armstrong. Pretty sneaky picture taking, Kaleb!

SASHA'S 7TH BIRTHDAY

The cousin's who came out to wish her a Happy Birthday.

Shaun sulking because the hammock picture was too noisy and crowded for his taste.

That evening, we ignited an hours worth of fireworks on the front lawn. Sasha has such a fun day for a birthday!

While Karla, Mike, Natalie, Alisa, Ashleigh, Spencer and Adam were visiting, we went to feed the horses. Here is Shaun doing a fine job of it. That week we also went camping. Too bad I didn't take pictures of that event. Or of Alisa's broken arm! Two things we can't forget! (Or won't soon, huh Alisa!)

4th of July!!!!!!

Shaun starts the 4th off right by seeing two sweet cars on the way to the parade.

The kids enjoy the parade, our family tradition!

Later that night, fireworks!
We watch the fireworks they shoot from the BYU stadium from the Provo Temple Lawn. Lots of family join us there every year.

Our Lithuanian cousins in the background. It was great fun to meet them.

Kaleb wins for putting the most glow sticks in his mouth. He is quite talented. I am so proud!

Our fun trip to Ft. Lauderdale. The hotel is right on the beach, seen behind the pool. Great memories, again.
Sasha and her friend Ali. Two cute girls, one of them mine!
